How It Happened
The Lancaster Bible College softball team fell in their season opener to Mt. Aloysius on Sunday, March 13, falling by a score of 16-3.
The Chargers (0-1 Overall) struggled to find their rhythm early, allowing four runs in the first three innings. Mt. Aloysius (1-0 Overall) broke things open in the fourth inning, plating 12 runs to seize all the momentum.
LBC fought back in the bottom of the fifth inning.
Chloe King led off the inning by lifting a single into center field.
Hannah Lieb reached base with a single to third base, putting runners on first and second. After
Alyssa Paulson worked a walk,
Bryanna Hoover crushed a double into right field, bringing home LBC's first two runs of the season.
Phoebe Clemens drove in Paulson, hitting a sacrifice fly into left field. The Chargers could get no closer, falling 16-3.

How it Happened
The Lancaster Bible College softball team started to find their offense in game two against Albertus Magnus, falling by a score of 8-6 to close out the day.
The Chargers (0-2 Overall) got on the board first, scoring in the top of the first inning.
Phoebe Clemens led off the game with a triple to center field.
Adalyn Steiner drove in Clemens, hitting a sharp ground ball to the short stop. The Falcons (2-0 Overall) answered right back, plating two runs in the bottom of the inning to retake the lead. LBC leveled the game at two in the second inning.
Bryanna Hoover smashed a double over the center fielder's head to lead off the inning.
Hannah Lieb then drove a single through the right side, scoring Hoover from second. Albertus Magnus scored two runs in the second inning and three more runs in the third inning, taking a 7-2 lead.
The Chargers climbed back within striking distance in the fourth inning.
Alyssa Hamilton reached on an error and then Hoover crushed another double, putting runners on second and third.
Alyssa Paulson smacked a single through the right side, scoring Hamilton.
Chloe King hammered a double into the left center gap, allowing both Hoover and Paulson to score, cutting the deficit down to two.
The Falcons tacked on another run to in the sixth inning to retake a three-run advantage. LBC made on last push in the top of the seventh inning.
Sonja Nelson led off by laying down a bunt single and then stealing second base. After advancing to third, Steiner hit a single, scoring Nelson. The Chargers could get no closer, falling 8-6.
