How it Happened
The Lancaster Bible College softball team rallied back from an early deficit to pick up a seventh inning walk-off victory over Cairn on Tuesday, April 19.
The Chargers (7-20 Overall, 6-12 United East) got off to a slow start, allowing runs in the first and third innings to fall in a 2-0 hole. LBC fought back in the bottom of the third inning.
Alyssa Hamilton led off the inning with a single into right field.
Hannah Lieb then reached on an error to put runners on first and second base.
Phoebe Clemens drove in the Chargers' first run, blasting a single into left center to make the score 2-1. Later in the inning,
Chloe King popped a single into left field, scoring Lieb to tie the game at two.

LBC surged in front in the fourth inning.
Noelle Martin led off the inning by working a walk.
Sarah Davies and Hamilton fired back-to-back singles to load the bases. Lieb then reached on a fielders' choice, allowing Martin to score and put the Chargers ahead 3-2. Cairn (5-16 Overall, 2-6 CSAC) answered back, scoring a run in the sixth inning to tie the game at three.

The Chargers had an opportunity to win the game in the bottom of the seventh inning. Clemens led off the inning with a single and then advanced to second. After Clemens stole third base,
Alyssa Paulson worked a walk to put runners on the corners. With two outs in the inning,
Jade Eshelman smashed a ball into right center, allowing Clemens to score and giving LBC a 4-3 victory.

How it Happened
The Chargers kept their momentum going after winning game one, racing out to an early lead in game two and picking up a 10-1 victory in five innings.

LBC (8-20 Overall, 6-12 United East) took the lead in the bottom of the first inning.
Alyssa Hamilton led off the inning with a single and
Hannah Lieb worked a walk, with both runners advancing into scoring position off a pass ball.

Adalyn Steiner smacked a single up the middle, scoring a run. Later in the inning,
Chloe King crushed a triple down the left field line, allowing two runs to score and giving LBC a 3-0 lead.

The Highlanders (5-17 Overall, 2-6 CSAC) scored a run in the second inning, cutting the deficit back down to two runs. The Chargers had an immediate answer in the bottom of the second inning.
Noelle Martin led off the inning with a single through the left side. Hamilton then launched a double over the center fielder's head to put runners on second and third. Lieb drew a walk to load the bases. Clemens then singled through the left side to make the score 4-1.
Adalyn Steiner reached on a fielder's choice that allowed Hamilton to score, extending LBC's advantage to 5-1. Later in the inning,
Alyssa Paulson reach on an error, allowing a run to score and giving LBC a 6-1 lead.

The Chargers took full control of the game in the bottom of the fourth inning. Lieb and Clemens started the inning with singles, advancing into scoring position on a bunt by Steiner. King slashed a single up the middle and into center field, allowing both runners to score and extending the lead to seven. Paulson put LBC ahead by eight, laying down a great bunt that allowed King to score.
Jade Eshelman crushed a triple into center field, scoring Paulson to put LBC ahead 10-1. With a nine-run lead, starting pitcher
Noelle Martin shut down the Highlanders' offense, picking up one of her six strikeouts to pick up a 10-1 victory.
