How it Happened
The Lancaster Bible College softball team battled back from a 6-0 deficit to defeat Gallaudet 11-9 on Wednesday, April 20.

The Chargers (9-20 Overall, 7-12 United East) struggled to get going, allowing Gallaudet (3-26 Overall, 3-16 United East) to jump out to a 6-0 lead. LBC began to climb back into the game in the second inning.
Chloe King started the rally, hammering a double into left center field.
Alyssa Paulson then singled through the right-side putting runners on the corners. King would later score on a passed ball. After
Sarah Davies drew a walk,
Alyssa Hamilton crushed a triple into center field allowing two runs to score.
Hannah Lieb kept the rally going, lifting a double into left center, making the score 6-4. Gallaudet and LBC each scored a run in the third inning, with the Bison holding onto a 7-5 lead.

LBC continued battling back in the bottom of the fourth inning. With two outs in the inning and trailing by three, Lieb reached on an error.
Phoebe Clemens rocketed a double into center field, allowing Lieb to score.
Bryanna Hoover reached on an error, allowing Clemens to score, pulling LBC within a single run.

The Chargers finally captured the lead in the fifth inning. Paulson,
Sonja Nelson and Davies each singled to load the bases. With two outs in the inning, Clemens again blasted a ball, this time over the center fielder's head, allowing all three runners to score and LBC to take a 10-8 advantage. The Bison responded, scoring in the top of the sixth inning to close back within a run. In the home half of the inning,
Adalyn Steiner led off the inning with triple to left field. King drove her in with a single up the middle. LBC got three flyouts in the seventh inning to hold on for a 11-9 victory.

How it Happened
The Chargers kept their momentum going after winning game one, powering to a 12-4 victory in game two.

LBC (10-20 Overall, 8-12 United East) took an early lead, scoring in the bottom of the second inning.
Adalyn Steiner drew a walk and swiped second base to put herself in scoring position.
Sonja Nelson reached on an error, allowing Steiner to hustle around and score from second base. Gallaudet (3-27 Overall, 3-17 United East) responded, scoring four runs in the third inning to take a 4-1 lead.

The Chargers responded in a major way in the third inning.
Alyssa Hamilton led off the inning with single to center field.
Hannah Lieb laid down a perfect bunt, beating out the throw to put two runners on base.
Phoebe Clemens lasered a single through the left side, scoring Hamilton. Lieb would then score on a pass ball, making the score 4-3.
Bryanna Hoover crushed a double to left field, scoring Clemens to tie the game at four. Later in the inning, King lifted a sacrifice fly into center field, allowing Hoover to score. Steiner closed out the scoring in the inning, coming home on a wild pitch to give LBC a 6-4 lead.

The Chargers continued rolling, scoring three more runs in the fourth inning powered by a two-RBI double from Hoover. LBC added two runs in the fifth inning and Hamilton drove in a walk-off run in the sixth inning to secure a 12-4 victory.
