How It Happened
The Lancaster Bible College women's tennis team fell in a United East match at St. Mary's College of Maryland by a score of 8-1 on Wednesday, April 20.
Singles

Cara DiCiano struggled to find momentum in the #1 singles match, falling 6-0, 6-1.

Madi Strickler took a game in the first set, but lost in the second set to finish with a 6-1, 6-0 defeat.
- In the #3 singles match,
Chloe Campbell fell in straight sets by a score of 6-0 in both sets.

Camryn Burkholder also fell 6-0, 6-0 in straight sets.

Kyrstin Jarvis dropped the first set 7-5, but did not complete the second set as she retired, dropping the match.
- In the final singles match,
Alycia Eglauer played the most competitive match for the Chargers. She powered to a 6-4 victory in the first set, then fell 6-2 in the second set to send the match to a tiebreaking third set. During the tiebreak, Eglauer topped her Seahawks opponent 10-7 to secure the lone team point for Lancaster Bible.

Madi Strickler could not gain the edge, losing to their pair of Seahawks by a score of 8-3.

Alycia Eglauer lost in the #2 doubles match by a score of 8-0.
- In the final doubles match,
Camryn Burkholder and
Kyrstin Jarvis fell 8-2.
