How It Happened
The Lancaster Bible College men's tennis team defeated Penn College in United East play by a score of 6-3 on Saturday, April 23. 
 
Singles
- 
Devon Clemmer fell in the #1 singles match, losing by a score of 6-4, 6-2.
- 
Micah Weaver suffered a tough defeat in the #2 spot. After losing the first set, Weaver won the second set 6-4 to force a third set, where he fell 6-4.
- 
Malachi Bomgardner fought for his singles win, taking straight sets 6-1, 6-3.
- 
Josh Jarvis and 
AJ Kwiatkowski each gave up just one game, winning in straight sets and taking two team points.
- 
Devyn Kintzer had the lone sweep for the Chargers in the #6 singles match.
 
Doubles
- In the #1 doubles match, 
Devon Clemmer and 
Josh Jarvis battled to the end, losing the match 8-5.
- 
Micah Weaver and 
Malachi Bomgardner cruised to a doubles win by a score of 8-0.
- In the final doubles match, the pair of 
AJ Kwiatkowski and 
Devyn Kintzer pulled out an 8-2 victory.
Coaching Points
"This was a nice win for our team today," said head coach 
Rod Baughman. "I though Micah's match was one of the best he has played! Grateful for the depth of our lineup this afternoon. Quick turnaround for tomorrow but excited to wrap up conference play!"
Who's Next
The men's tennis team is back in action tomorrow as they host Penn St. Berks to conclude United East play on Sunday, April 24.
