How it Happened
The Lancaster Bible College softball team fell on senior day to Penn St. Berks, dropping game one by a score of 7-0 on Saturday, April 23.

Before the game, LBC took a few minutes to acknowledge the senior members of the softball team;

The Chargers (11-22 Overall, 9-14 United East) got off to a strong defensive start, led by left fielder
Hannah Lieb who made several diving catches to keep the Lions off the basepaths. The Lions (21-7 Overall, 18-3 United East) broke though, scoring three runs in the third inning to surge ahead.

LBC looked to respond in the bottom of the fourth inning.
Alyssa Hamilton reached on an error becoming the Chargers' first baserunner. Later in the inning,
Phoebe Clemens doubled to center field, putting runners on second and third. The Chargers could not convert the opportunity. The Lions extended their advantage scoring in the fifth and seventh innings to build a seven-run lead. LBC could not start a rally, falling in game one by a score of 7-0.

How it Happened
The Chargers could not recover from their game one defeat, falling by a score of 5-1 on Saturday, April 23.
LBC (11-23 Overall, 9-15 United East) had another stellar defensive outing, holding the Lions (22-7 Overall, 19-3 United East)Â in check early in the game. Penn St. Berks finally got on the board in the fourth inning, scoring three runs.
The Chargers looked to answer in the bottom of the inning.
Bryanna Hoover led off the inning by being hit by a pitch. Later in the inning,
Alyssa Paulson smashed a double down the right field line, allowing Hoover to score. LBC could not get any closer, falling by a score of 5-1.
