How It Happened
The Lancaster Bible College softball team rallied to take down SUNY Morrisville by a score of 9-6 on Saturday, April 2.
The Chargers (3-12 Overall, 3-4 United East) got on the board first, scoring in the bottom of the first inning.
Alyssa Hamilton led off the inning by crushing a double into center field.
Sheyenne King smacked a double into right center field, scoring Hamilton to give LBC a 1-0 lead. After King stole third,
Phoebe Clemens launched a sacrifice fly into center field, allowing King to tag up and score. Later in the inning after
Adalyn Steiner reached base, she capitalized on a throwing error, scoring LBC's third run of the game.
SUNY Morrisville (1-14 Overall, 1-6 United East) fought back, capitalizing on a couple of errors to score one run in the second inning and three runs in the third inning to tie the game at three. The Mustangs took their first lead of the game, scoring two more runs in the fifth inning to grab a 5-3 lead.
LBC responded in the bottom of the fifth inning. Hamilton led off with another double to left center field.
Sheyenne King singled to left, moving Hamilton over to third base. Clemens ripped a triple into left field, scoring both Hamilton and King to tie the game at five. LBC continued rolling, with
Bryanna Hoover smacking a single into center, bringing home Clemens to give LBC the lead. Later in the inning with runners on base,
Noelle Martin capitalized on an error, scoring Steiner to give LBC a 7-5 advantage.
Hannah Lieb crushed a double into left field driving in two more runs to extend the lead to four.
Starting pitcher,
Alyssa Hamilton shut down the Mustangs in the sixth and seventh innings, holding them to only one run, securing the 9-6 victory.

How It Happened
The LBC softball team continued rolling, defeating SUNY Morrisville in game two of their doubleheader by a score of 10-1 to close out action on Saturday, April 3.
The Chargers (4-12 Overall, 4-4 United East) started strong, taking the lead in the bottom of the first inning.
Alyssa Hamilton led off with a single.
Phoebe Clemens then reached on a fielder's choice and stole second base to put herself in scoring position.
Bryanna Hoover then rocketed a double into center field, scoring Clemens to give LBC a 1-0 lead. The Chargers tacked on two more runs in the bottom of the second inning.
Chloe King led off the inning with a single into right field.
Hannah Lieb doubled to left field, putting runners on second and third base. Hamilton then singled to left field, plating both runs and giving the Chargers a 3-0 lead.
The Mustangs (1-15 Overall, 1-7 United East) used a couple of hits in the fourth inning to score a run and pull back within two. The Chargers answered back scoring in the bottom of the fourth inning.
Noelle Martin led off the inning with a single up the middle. Lieb reached on an error and then both runners advanced into scoring position on a passed ball.
Sheyenne King smacked a single, scoring Martin to stretch the lead to three. Clemens kept the offense rolling with a single to center, scoring Lieb. Hoover brought home another run, knocking a single into right field. Later in the inning,
Alyssa Paulson lifted a sacrifice fly into center field, bring home Clemens to give LBC a 7-1 lead.
Starting pitcher Martin, shut down SUNY Morrisville in the top of the fifth inning and LBC looked to close out the game in the bottom of the fifth inning. Martin and Lieb each singled to put runners on base.
Sheyenne King then drove a single into left field, scoring Martin to give the Chargers an 8-1 lead. Clemens put an exclamation point on the victory, drilling a walk-off triple into left field scoring two runners to give LBC a 10-1 victory.
