How It Happened
The Lancaster Bible College softball team struggled to get the bats going, falling to Penn St. Berks by a score of 8-0 on Friday, April 8. Â
The Chargers (6-13 Overall, 6-5 United East) could not find their offensive momentum, failing to get a single baserunner during the five-inning contest. Penn St. Berks (10-6 Overall, 7-2 United East) grabbed an early lead, scoring three runs in the second inning. The Lions capitalized on several Chargers' errors, building an 8-0 lead in the fifth inning, securing the victory.

How It Happened
LBC had a better showing in game two of the double header, but the Chargers fell by a score of 8-0 in five innings.
The Chargers (6-14 Overall, 6-6 United East) picked up their first hit of the day when
Phoebe Clemens hammered a double off the left field fence, but the Chargers could not move her around the bases. Penn St. Berks (11-6 Overall, 8-2 United East) jumped out to an early advantage, scoring two runs in the first and second innings to take a 4-0 lead. LBC's best scoring threat came in the second inning. With two outs in the inning,
Chloe King smacked a double down the left field line. She then stole third base to put herself in scoring position. The Chargers could not capitalize on the scoring chance. The Lions continued to extend their lead, scoring twice in the third and fifth inning to secure an 8-0 victory.
