How It Happened: The Chargers wasted no time in getting on the scoreboard as freshman
Isabella Eufemia notched her ninth goal of the season off a rebound from a
Kendal Ream shot. With the early advantage, the Chargers managed to disrupt any Waynesburg offensive flow despite 12 first half shots from the Yellow Jackets to keep the 1-0 lead into halftime.
Â
The second half was a little different as the Yellow Jackets turned up the intensity. It was at the 71-minute mark that the Yellow Jackets got a long-range shot to go against a stout Chargers defense tying the game at 1-1 with just nineteen minutes to play. The Yellow Jackets weren't done though, sending in two more goals in the span of just six minutes to go from down 1-0 to leading 3-1. The Chargers didn't have an answer for the Yellow Jackets' flurry resulting in a 3-1 non-conference loss, just their fifth loss of the season.
Â
