How It Happened: The first half of play was a defensive battle. In just the second minute,
Kendal Ream got a shot early for the Chargers, but it was blocked by a Pacer defender. Both sides traded shots through the first fifteen minutes, but none of them could get on target. However, in the 19
th minute, Ream got a shot on the net, but Marywood came out with the save.
Leah Perreault kept the pressure up for Lancaster Bible as she had a good look as well, but unfortunately, it was just short of finding the back of the net. Despite the Pacers getting shots off, the Chargers' defense held strong forcing all of them to be off target as the teams went into halftime tied at zero.
Both offenses came out roaring in the second half. In just the first ten minutes, the Chargers had a total of four shots with one on goal, and the Pacers had three shots with one on target. Lancaster Bible continued to apply pressure getting four straight corner kicks, all of which turned into shots, but again, the opportunities did not lead to a goal. In the 68
th minute, Riley Mulherin for Marywood scored the first goal of the match. However, just six minutes later, Ream answered back with a goal of her own off an assist from
