The Lancaster Bible College Women's Basketball team traveled to Buies Creek, N.C. on Thursday morning to compete in an exhibition game against the Fighting Camels of Campbell, an NCAA Division I program. The Chargers fought hard, but ultimately fell 99-28. Since it was an exhibition, the Chargers remain 2-8 overall and 0-2 in the United East while the Fighting Camels sit 7-2 overall.

How It Happened: The Fighting Camels opened the game with a three-pointer before sophomore
Raven Hunter put the Chargers on the board to make it 3-2. A layup from freshman
Natalie Wenger with a little over two minutes left in the first quarter brought the score to 15-6, but the Camels added six more points to make it 21-7Â after one quarter of play.

In the second quarter, the Fighting Camels managed to hold the Chargers to just two points while scoring another 21 points of their own, making it 42-9 headed into halftime. The Chargers managed to score ten points in the third quarter as Hunter netted two free throws and two more jumpers, while freshman

Alaysha Iwais added a pair of layups.

Faith Hammond managed to find the scoring column, while Nolt notched a three-pointer leading to a final score of 99-28.

By the Numbers: The Chargers shot just 16 percent (11-68) from the field and four percent (1-22) from the three… the Fighting Camels shot 49 percent (42-85) from the field and 37 percent (13-35) from three-point land… the Chargers finished with four assists and eight steals… the Fighting Camels had 69 rebounds and 58 points in the paint… Hunter led the Chargers with nine points while Nolt and Iwais chipped in five and four points apiece… Christabel Ezumah scored a game-high 23 points.

Information to Know: This was the Chargers' first matchup with the Fighting Camels in program history… the most points allowed by the Chargers is 115 by Alvernia on January 10, 1991… the largest margin of defeat by the Chargers is 97 on January 28, 1991 at Goucher.
