Lancaster Bible's women's lacrosse team lost their home match 15-4 against Neumann on Tuesday, March 21
st. The Chargers are now 2-5 on the season, and the Knights have improved to 6-1.
How It Happened: Lancaster Bible struggled to gain footing early in the first quarter as Neumann scored twice in the first four minutes, but
Katelynn Perrotta would not back down as she scored her first goal of the match, bringing Lancaster Bible's deficit to just 2-1. Neumann scored three straight goals following the Chargers' comeback attempt. Perrotta scored another goal, but the Knights finished the first quarter scoring two more as they took a 7-2 lead.
The second quarter was very defensive as the Chargers went scoreless while the Knights scored just two goals and went into the half with a 9-2 lead. Lancaster Bible tried to muster a comeback in the second half, but Neumann scored four goals in the third quarter against Lancaster Bible's one. The Knights scored two more in the fourth quarter, and Perrotta capped off the Chargers' evening with her fourth goal of the game as they fell 15-4.
By the Numbers: The Chargers put up just nine shots compared to the Knights' 39. Lancaster Bible's goalkeeper
Kyleigh Zenewicz saved nine shots, her fourth game getting at least nine saves this year.
Katelynn Perrotta finished with with four goals on just seven shots. Neumann was led by Jayana Murray's three goals.
