The Lancaster Bible College softball team squared off against United East foe Wells Express at home on Sunday in their first conference games of the season, taking both games 19-0 and 17-0. Following the two wins, the Chargers improve to 6-6 overall while the Express fall to 0-6 on the year.

Game One: 19-0, Win

How It Happened: The Chargers started off hot early with junior
Phoebe Clemens sending a double to left center, scoring
Hannah Lieb and
Alyssa Hamilton. Following the two-RBI shot from Clemens, the Chargers scored three more runs in the bottom of the 1
st inning. The Charger defense held tough behind a strong performance from the mound by Hamilton, who only allowed two hits and one walk. The Chargers averaged 4.6 runs per inning for the next three innings, leading to a 19-0 win.

By the Numbers: The Chargers registered 18 total hits for 19 runs and 15 RBIs… the Express had two hits and one walk… Clemens went 4-4 with three doubles and one triple, tallying a game-high five RBIs… Lieb went 4-4 on the day…
Adalyn Steiner went 3-3 with 3 RBIs… six other Chargers also added hits.
Game Two: 17-0, Win

How It Happened: Looking to carry the momentum from the last game, the Chargers racked up 11 runs in the bottom of the 1
st to give them a sizable lead. The Chargers added six more through the third inning, giving them their second win of the day, 17-0.

By the Numbers: The Chargers had 17 hits for 17 runs and 10 RBIs… the Express had two hits and four walks… sophomore
Sheyenne King went 4-4 adding three RBIs… Clemens went 3-3 with three RB's as well…
Noelle Martin, Lieb, and Hamilton added two hits each… Martin got her first win on the mound, allowing only two hits and four walks.
