The Lancaster Bible College men's and women's track team competed in the Messiah Invite in Grantham, Pa. this week. A track meet which started on Thursday and went through Saturday, despite the longevity and weather delays, the Chargers competed well as they achieved new personal bests, school records, and NCCAA qualifications. In the end, the women's team placed 13
th out of 22 total teams while the men placed 19
th out of 24 total teams.

School Records & NCCAA Qualifications
- Junior Emma Rohn competed in the multi-event heptathlon on Thursday and absolutely crushed her previous record by 698 points. Her new score of 2,975 points is a new school record and helped her achieve 13th out of 23 Division II and Division III competitors.
- Freshman Rebecca Best earned herself a personal best and school record in the discus throw after throwing 28.97 meters, which placed her 18th out of 37 women.
- Junior Mitchell Gray continued to dominate in the distance realm of the track after winning the 10k event, a total of 25 laps around the track, with a time of 32:51.36, which is not only a school record but helps him qualify for the NCCAA Outdoor Championships in May.

Other Highlights
- Sophomore Erin Wilsey set a personal record in the discus throw as well, throwing 9.41 meters.
- Daniel Lefko and Alex McWilliams both placed in the top ten of the 10k along with Mitchell Gray. Lefko placed 7th with a time of 37:16.50 and McWilliams placed 9th with a time of 38:41.18.
- Junior Leah Bergey continued to dominate in her events, winning both the 100-meter hurdles and the high jump. In the hurdles, Bergey finished a time of 14.87 seconds. And for the high jump the junior finished with a height of 1.69 meters or 5'2.50".
- Junior Kara Huber placed 9th in the pole vault with a height of 2.82 meters or 9'3" feet.
- Both 4x100 relay teams also competed well and earned a top ten finish, with both placing 9th overall. The women's relay team of Sydney Heller, Elizabeth Lieb, Emma Rohn, and Leah Bergey finished with a time of 53.10 seconds and earning the team a point. The men's relay of Logan Burkholder, Karahn Garfield-Cotton, Adam Horning, and Jalen Glasgow finished with a time of 44.81 seconds.
