The Lancaster Bible College men's team traveled to Reading, Pa. on Tuesday afternoon to face off against United East foe Penn St. Berks, winning 7-2. The Chargers improve to 13-3 overall and 3-1 in conference, while the Lions drop to 7-4 and 2-3 in conference.

How It Happened: On the doubles side of things, the Chargers swept all three matches in tough contests as
Micah Weaver and
AJ Kwiatkowski got the first win 8-3. No. 1 and No. 2
Devon Clemmer and
Josh Jarvis won 8-6, while
Malachi Bomgardner and
Caleb Cavaiani went to extras, but pulled out the win 7-4.

In the singles matches, the Chargers got their first win from Kwiatkowski who posted a 6-4, 6-0 win. Jarvis and Bomgardner fell in their tightly contested matches, but Clemmer got a 7-5, 6-3 win at the number one slot
. Weaver and
Andrew Moore both picked up wins of their own as well.

Information to Know: The win over Berks helps secure the Chargers in the United East Conference Championships as either the two or three seed. The seeding will be determined after the Chargers square off against Penn St. Harrisburg on Friday, April 21.
