The Lancaster Bible College men's and women's track & field teams traveled to Gettysburg, Pa. to compete in the Mason-Dixon Meet on Saturday, but due to inclement weather was cancelled halfway through. Despite the challenges, the Chargers fought through, including several top ten finishes and a few podium finishes.

Top Ten Finishes
- Junior Mitchell Gray won the 5000-meter run with a time of 16:03, which qualified him for the NCCAA Championships held in May.
- Senior Alex McWilliams also placed in the top ten for the 5000-meters, finishing 6th overall with a time of 18:41.29.
- Sophomore Dana Keller placed 5th overall in the 1500-meter run with a time of 5:33.95.
- Senior Leah Bergey dominated her field as she won both the 100-meter hurdles with a time of 15.13Â and high jump with 1.52-meters (4'-11.75").
- The women's 4x100-meter relay of Sydney Heller, Elizabeth Lieb, Grace Simpson, and Kara Huber placed 5th overall with a time of 54.85.
- Freshman Rebecca Best placed 9th overall in the shot put while setting a school record at 10.06-meters.
- Freshman Kaylisa Montijo jumped 4.24-meters (13'-11") in the long jump, helping her place 7th overall.

The Chargers haven't had the easiest of times for the 2023 outdoor season due to challenging weather and several delays, but they have made the most of it with several new school records and NCCAA qualifications. Head Coach

Up Next: The Chargers have one final tune up meet at Elizabethtown College on Saturday, April 29 beginning at 10:00 a.m. before the athletes who qualified for the NCCAA Championships begin to train.
