Lancaster Bible College men's and women's track program traveled to York College on Wednesday afternoon to compete in the Twilight Meet. An unconventional meet that goes through the evening and into the night, the Chargers performed well against some tough competition as 13 teams from across the region competed.
School Records
- Junior Mitchell Gray set a new school record in the 1500-meter run placing fifth with a time of 4:07.39.
- Freshman Marcy Foltz set a new school record in the javelin throwing a distance of 27.58-meters helping her place 15th overall.
NCCAA Qualifiers
- Gray's performance in the 1500-meter run helped him secure a spot in the NCCAA Outdoor Championships held on May 10-12.
- Leah Bergey crushed the 400-meter hurdles finishing third with a time of 1:08.28 placing third overall.
Top Ten Finishes
- Bergey placed third in the 400-meter hurdles and second in the 100-meter hurdles with a time of 15.01 seconds.
- Gray finished fifth in his 1500-meter run.
- Elizabeth Lieb finished top ten in the 400-meter dash with a time of 1:04.40.
- Emma Rohn also finished in the top ten of high jump with a jump of 1.45-meters.
- Kara Huber placed sixth overall in pole vault finishing with a height of 2.90-meters.
- Dana Keller and Emma McMurray tied for tenth place overall while jumping a height of 2.30-meters.
- The women's 4x400-meter relay of Lieb, Dana Keller, Grace Simpson, and Rohn placed eighth overall with a time of 4:39.80.
- The men'x 4x400-meter relay of Logan Burkholder, Adam Horning, Mitchell Gray, and Karahn Garfield placed ninth overall at a time of 3:41.66.
