The Lancaster Bible College Softball team traveled to Penn St. Harrisburg for another conference doubleheader on Friday afternoon. The Chargers dropped the first game 6-0 and the second game 8-2. Following the sweep, the Chargers fall to 7-13 overall and 3-7 in United East play, while the Lions improve to 14-6 overall and 6-0 in conference play.

Game One, 6-0 Loss

How It Happened: The Chargers found themselves down early as the Lions scored two runs in the second inning and four runs in the fourth inning. The Chargers weren't able to get anything going offensively, being held to just four hits and zero runs.

By the Numbers: The Chargers had four hits including two doubles… the Lions had 14 hits for six runs and five RBIs…
Sheyenne King and
Chloe King went 1-3 with a double each…

Game Two, 8-2 Loss

How It Happened: The Chargers found themselves down early again after the Lions scored one run in the first inning. The Chargers fought back, taking the lead in the top of the third inning after scoring two runs as
Alyssa Hamilton sent a two-run home run over the fence. The Lions returned the favor though and hit their own home run in the bottom of the third inning, scoring three runs and taking a 4-2 lead. The Lions kept the Chargers at bay and proceeded to score four more runs in the fifth inning, leading to an 8-2 loss.

By the Numbers: The Chargers had five hits for two runs and two RBIs… the Lions had 10 hits for eight runs and seven RBIs… Hamilton went 1-3 with a home run and two RBIs…
Chloe King went 2-3 on the game… several Lions had two hits on the day.
