Chargers Secure Fourth Straight Shut Out Win, Cruising by Golden Wolves 3-0

The Lancaster Bible College Women's soccer team win fifth straight game, shutting out the Golden Wolves 3-0 on Tuesday night. The Chargers improve to 4-0 overall, while the Golden Wolves drop to 0-5 overall.

How It Happened: Chargers started off early as Isabella Eufemia put the ball into the net for the second game in a row. The rest of the half continued as both teams exchanged offensive attacks, neither converted. The half ended with Chargers up 1-0.

Up 1-0, the Chargers entered the half looking to extend their lead and did exactly that, as Jade Weir found Leah Perreault for a liner to the right corner. Extending Chargers lead to 2-0 with only two minutes into the half.

The Chargers continued to hold the Golden Wolves at bay fending off multiple offensive attacks. Meanwhile, Kendal Ream tacked on one more goal with a minute left of play to increase the Chargers lead.

The Chargers cruised by the Golden Wolves 3-0, to earn themselves their fourth straight shut out win of the season.

From the Player: "Our back lines shape and communication has been a big factor in our success. We have worked really hard on that in our practices. That has definitely made it really hard for our opponents to break our back line. I would say the biggest thing though is our love for each other and our work ethic. We work like crazy for the person playing next to us!" - Sophomore Defender Janae Bergey

From the Coach:
"We had a really fast start tonight and the intensity from our team was incredible. We're playing good soccer right now and our group is really fighting for each other" - Head Coach Jake Warren

By the Numbers: The Chargers topped the Golden Wolves with 18 shots to 9… Golden Wolves led in saves with 9 to Chargers 2… Chargers ended with 4 corners to Golden Wolves 2… Eufemia, Perreault, and Ream all tallied one goal… Weir had one assist.
