How It Happened:Â The Chargers started off their homecoming match against the Seahawks ready to carry their momentum from their last win at home on Wednesday night. The match started off even as both teams played sound defense; neither the Chargers nor the Seahawks had many offensive opportunities. It wasn't until the Seahawks made a crucial mistake, giving
Nate Siers a free path to the goal, as he chipped over the goalie for the score in the 32
nd minute. This gave the Chargers a 1-0 lead and Siers his first career goal.
Â
With the 1-0 lead for the Chargers, both teams headed into the second half ready to fight. Seahawks had multiple good looks at the goal through the entirety of the 45 minutes, but the Chargers defense held steady. As they thwarted the Seahawks' attempts, the Chargers finished off the game by not allowing a single goal for the Seahawks.
