The Lancaster Bible College Women's Soccer team picked up a United East Conference win on Saturday evening over the visiting Rosemont Ravens, 7-0. The Chargers improve to 3-4-4 overall and 2-2 in conference while the Ravens fall to 5-7 overall and 2-3 in the conference.
How It Happened: Looking for their second conference win of the season, the Chargers opened the first half scoring their first goal of the game and first career goal for freshman
Zoe Beers. The Chargers proceeded to score two more goals before halftime as junior
Janae Bergey and sophomore
Isabella Eufemia added a goal each.
Carrying their momentum in the second half, an own goal by the Ravens followed by another Eufemia goal on an assist from junior
Leah Perreault pushed the lead to 5-0 just under 50 minutes into the game. Bergey chipped in another while sophomore
Kayleigh Rhine got her first career goal as well to win 7-0.
From the Coach: "A big result for our team today," said Head Coach
Jake Warren.
"We scored some nice goals and got contributions from everyone. It was an important conference result for us!"
By the Numbers: The Chargers outshot the Ravens 20-3… the Ravens had nine saves for the game… the Chargers tallied six corners… Eufemia and Bergey had two goals apiece.
Information to Know: This was the Chargers' high scoring game since October 22, 2022 when they beat Gallaudet 7-0.
