The Lancaster Bible College Women's Soccer team traveled to Keystone on Wednesday night for a United East Conference match with the Giants winning 10-0. The Chargers improve to 4-4-4 overall and 3-2 in conference while the Giants fall to 2-9 overall and a 0-4 in conference.
How It Happened: It was one-sided from the start as the Chargers tallied 48 total shots for the game including 23 shots in the first half. Freshman
Zoe Beers scored her second career goal just over four minutes into the game to take the lead 1-0. Freshman
Allie Zuber and junior
Janae Bergey also scored in the first half to head to halftime with a 3-0 lead.
The Chargers poured it on offensively in the second half as sophomore
Isabella Eufemia opened the half with a goal on an assist from
Leah Perreault. Bergey added two more quick goals to notch her first hat trick of her career and ninth goal of the season. Sophomores
Annie Hoffman and
Emma Moser scored their first collegiate goals as well as the Chargers went on to win 10-0 over the Giants.
From the Coach: "We scored some great team goals tonight and played really well," said Head Coach
Jake Warren.
"I was happy with how the girls performed and executed in the attacking third."Â
By the Numbers: The Chargers outshot the Giants 48-0… the Chargers had seven corner kicks to the Giants two… the Giants tallied 19 total saves… Bergey had three goals for the Chargers… Beers added two goals… five other Chargers scored.
