The Lancaster Bible College Men's Soccer team traveled to Penn St. Abington on Wednesday afternoon for a United East Conference match with the Lions falling 2-0. The Chargers fall to 4-8-1 overall and 2-3 in conference while the Lions improve to 6-6-2 overall and a perfect 6-0 in conference.
How It Happened: Coming off a 3-0 win at Wilson, the Chargers were looking for their third conference victory on Wednesday afternoon. The Chargers fought tough in the first half behind a strong defensive effort and several scoring opportunities.
Despite the disciplined play from the Chargers, the second half was a different story as the Lions got their first goal to go in the 49
th minute. The Chargers managed to get a shot and a corner, but their chances turned up empty as the Lions scored their second just before the final horn. The Lions went on to win at home, 2-0.
By the Numbers: The Chargers were outshot 17-3… the Lions had more corner kicks 4-3… the Chargers tallied four saves… Arsene Bado and Eljo Agolli scored for the Lions.
