The United East Conference announced the stage for the 2024 United East Men's Soccer Playoffs this weekend with the Lancaster Bible College Men's Soccer team being named the ten-seed and heading to seven-seed Rosemont on Wednesday, October 30 for the first round.
The Chargers ended their regular season 4-9-3 overall and 2-4-2 in conference. In their last three games the Chargers tied both Penn College and Keystone at home before losing at Penn St. Brandywine this past Friday. The Chargers are led by sophomore
Dan Marcroft with a team high five goals while graduate student
Luke Myers adds a team high four assists. Junior
Andrew Cox has chipped in three goals and three assists.
While the Chargers haven't had a matchup with the Ravens, they have had a few common opponents in conference play. Those common opponents include Penn College, Penn St. Abington, Penn College, Keystone, Cairn, and St. Mary's (Md.). In those matchups the Chargers are 0-3-2 while the Ravens are 1-4.
"We are excited about the opportunity before us tonight," said Head Coach
Tom Ardt.
"It's all about the process and the effort and execution. That's the mentality that we must have. We will be ready to play tonight, and it should be a great match."
The winner of tonight's matchup will travel to two-seed Penn St. Abington on Saturday, November 2 for a United East Quarterfinal match.
