The Lancaster Bible College Women's Basketball team had a rematch with Delaware Valley on Saturday afternoon in the consolation game of the Franklin & Marshall Tip-Off Tournament falling 75-61. Fifth year
Jenna Dombach eclipsed 1,000 career points in the loss after scoring a team high 18 points, becoming the 14
th player in program history to do so. The Chargers drop to 3-3 overall while the Aggies improve to 2-3.
How It Happened: The Aggies raced out to a 6-0 lead and didn't look back as they led by as much as 12 points in the first quarter. The Chargers looked to get things going in the second quarter as Dombach scored five points but the Aggies proved too much as they headed to halftime with a 41-27 lead.
The Aggies continued to keep pace offensively while stifling any Chargers opportunities. Dombach scored eight points in the third quarter while
Serene Calderon,
Natalie Wenger, and
Keilani Araniva chipped in. The Chargers were able to get it within 20 points but ultimately fell 75-61.
By the Numbers: The Chargers shot 44-percent from the floor, 33-percent from the three, and 75-percent from the line… the Aggies shot 53-percent from the field and 70-percent from the free throw line… the Aggies scored 58 points in the paint to the Chargers 28… Dombach had a team high 18 points and six assists while
Natalie Wenger chipped in 14 points… Haley Keenan had a game high 21 points for the Aggies.
