How It Happened:
The Chargers opened their season at home as they looked to start the season off strong against the Delaware Valley Aggies. The first quarter was played through the Aggies as they held the lead for the entirety of the quarter. The Chargers had a couple free throws and showed great effort on the offensive glass as the quarter ended with the Chargers down 13-19. The second quarter wrote a different story though as the Chargers adjusted offensively after they went down double-digits early in the quarter. The Chargers outscored the Aggies, but the visitors still maintained a 35-30 lead into the half.
As the third quarter rolled around, the Chargers looked for some defense to stop the Aggies. The quarter was a hard-fought battle between both sides, as the Aggies dominated the defensive boards, the Chargers found their own niche from behind the arc. Both teams scored 17 points in the third quarter as the Chargers kept the game close 52-47. The Chargers battled for the lead throughout the whole fourth quarter as they went on multiple runs, but foul shots from the Aggies kept them ahead.
