The Lancaster Bible College Women's Tennis team competed against United East Conference foe St. Mary's (Md.) Seahawks on Saturday afternoon, falling 3-6 after losing all three doubles matches. The Chargers go to 3-10 overall and 0-3 in conference while the Seahawks improve to 7-4 overall and 3-0 in conference.
The Chargers were unable to secure a win in the doubles portion of the match, but the story was different in singles. Falling in the one and two slot, the Chargers bounced back as
Jania Weist,
Natalie Hoover, and
Susannah Clawser all won hard fought sets. This was each of their third straight win on the season. It wasn't enough though as the Seahawks went on to win 6-3.
