The Lancaster Bible College Men's Tennis squad traveled north to the Birchwood Racquet Club in Clarks Summit, Pa. for a meeting with the Defenders of Clarks Summit. The Chargers ended up coming away with a 7-2 win, their first of the season. The Chargers are now 1-13 while the Defenders fall to 0-9.
Two doubles pairs came away with victories for the day.
Josh Jarvis and
Caleb Cavaiani secured an 8-2 victory while Hemberth Pena and
Cole Scheihing lost a hard-fought 5-8 match.
Austin King and
Andrew Kelly rounded out doubles with an 8-2 win.
Five Chargers also earned singles win for the afternoon. Jarvis, Cavaiani, and Pena swept the top three slots. Kelly fell in a tough two set match, but Scheihing and King made up for it with back-to-back wins at the five and six slot.
