The Lancaster Bible College Softball team hosted United East foe Penn St. Berks on Thursday evening losing both, 10-3 and 14-3. The Chargers fall to 12-17 overall and 4-8 in conference while the Lions improve to 17-10 overall and 10-4 in conference.
Game One, 3-10 Loss
How It Happened: It was the Lions from the start as they jumped out to an early 8-0 lead through four innings. It wasn't until the bottom of the fourth inning that the Chargers managed to get three runs as
Riley Danko tripled to bring in two runs and Danko scored on a Lions defensive error. The Lions continued to bring in the runs scoring two more through seven innings to win 10-3.
By the Numbers: The Chargers had eight hits for three runs and two RBIs… the Lions had 12 hits for 10 runs and 10 RBIs…
Phoebe Clemens and
Alyssa Paulson went 3-3 while Danko had two RBIs… Vivian had three hits for three RBIs for the Lions.

Game Two, 3-14 Loss
How It Happened: Looking for some energy, the Chargers battled through three innings falling behind 3-2.
Amanda Hoover notched a doubled and Clemens hit a sacrifice fly to right field. From there the Lions lit up the scoreboard, scoring 11 runs in in the next four innings of play to win 14-3.
By the Numbers: The Chargers had six hits with three runs and two RBIs… the Lions had 11 hits for 14 runs and 12 RBIs… several Chargers had a hit while Hoover and Clemens had the lone RBIs… Gorman had three RBIs for the Lions.
