The Lancaster Bible College Men's Soccer team went toe to toe with cross-town opponent, Franklin and Marshall Diplomats, on Friday night at Donald H. Funk Field. The Chargers were overwhelmed by the Diplomats offensive fire power, as they fell short, with a final score of 5-0. The Chargers start off 0-1 on the season, while the Diplomats begin 1-0.

How It Happened:Â Chargers were fired up to face the visiting Diplomats in their home opener. The first half started off in a way they didn't expect though, as the Diplomats struck early. The visitors scored just two minutes into the game to take an early 1-0 lead. The Chargers responded readily keeping the Diplomats scoreless for the rest of the half.Â
Entering the second half with just a goal deficit, the Chargers were unable to keep the Diplomats at bay as visitors proved their worth offensively. The home team put up a solid fight, but from the start of the second half to the end the Diplomats managed to put several points on the board scoring four goals.The Chargers ended the night scoreless with an outcome of 5-0.Â
