The Lancaster Bible College Women's Tennis team hosted the Immaculata Mighty Macs on Tuesday afternoon. The Chargers ultimately fell 5-2 to drop to 0-1 on the season while the Mighty Macs improve to 1-0.
The Chargers stole a set in doubles play behind the efforts of duo
Jania Weist and
Natalie Hoover who won 6-3 in their respective match.
In singles play, the Chargers battled and were able to secure two wins. Hoover at the number-four slot won 6-1, 6-4 for her first win of the new season. Freshman
Lu Yakhyaeva and
Rebekah Dimov competed in their first matches as a Charger. Yakhyaeva went a full three sets before earning her first career victory in the third set, 6-2; 2-6; 6-3.Â
