The Lancaster Bible College Men's Volleyball team picked up their third win in a row at Wilkes in 3-0 fashion on Tuesday night. The Chargers improve to 5-2 overall while the Colonels fall to 1-4 on the season.
The Chargers were able to secure the win in three sets: 25-16, 25-17, and 25-15. The two squads traded points until a 10-1 run gave the Chargers a 17-10 lead. The second set was much of the same as the Chargers pieced together another 7-1 run to take a commanding 16-9 lead. And it was an 8-1 run in the third set that gave them a 20-11 lead and ultimately the three set victory.
The Chargers tallied 42 total kills on the night including 36 assists, eight service aces, and two blocks. They also grabbed 41 digs.
Jordan Yoder finished with a team high 11 kills and 10 digs.
Nicholas Marion followed with eight kills of his own.
Jake Rotelle got in the mix with two aces while
Zach Wyant had a game high 29 assists and two aces.
Tyler Martin finished with 10 digs as well.
The Chargers have the weekend off before returning to the Horst Athletic Center to battle Elizabethtown on Wednesday, January 29 at 7:00 p.m.
