The Lancaster Bible College Women's Basketball team had just five players for Saturday's United East road game against Rosemont, but earned a big win 73-46. The Chargers improve to 9-10 overall and 6-5 in the United East, while the Ravens drop to 0-19 overall and 0-10 in conference play.
How it Happened:
It was senior
Serene Calderon who got the scoring started with a fastbreak layup, then the Chargers got out to a 14-5 lead after a layup and a pair of free throws from sophomore
Rachel Nolt. LBC grabbed their first 10-point lead after a layup from Calderon, then freshman
Natane White knocked down her first of three 3-pointers to help put the Chargers up 25-13 after one quarter of play.
Rosemont cut the lead down to nine about three minutes into the second quarter, but Nolt made a layup and fifth year
Jenna Dombach and White hit a pair of threes to quickly boost the lead up to 17 points at 36-19. Dombach added another five points to the board to close the half with the Chargers leading 43-26 at the break.Â
Nolt, White, and Dombach all made layups to build the lead up over 20 points around four minutes into the second half, then sophomore
Isabella Eufemia scored her first points of the game to put LBC up 52-28. The Chargers held Rosemont to just four points in the third quarter, with White making a layup late to give LBC a 28-point lead heading into the final period at 58-30.
While never surrendering the lead, the Ravens won the fourth quarter 16-15 as they got some layups and 3-pointers to go late. Nolt and Calderon continued to score consistently and White knocked down another three as the minutes ticked away, helping the Chargers secure a 27-point victory over Rosemont and get back over .500 in conference play at 6-5.

- The Chargers shot a season-best 48.3% from the floor, 29-percent from 3-point range, and 61-percent from the free throw line
- The Ravens shot 30-percent from the floor, 15-percent from three, and 33-percent on free throws

The Chargers improve to 4-5 all-time against Rosemont and sweep the season series 2-0 in conference play. Women's Basketball has surpassed their win total from last season with their ninth victory and still five games to go in the regular season. This was the first game this season with three players recording a double-double (Calderon/Dombach/Nolt).
