The Lancaster Bible College Women's Volleyball team returned home for a non-conference matchup with Gwynedd Mercy on Wednesday night, earning a 3-0 win in straight sets for their seventh straight win. The Chargers improve to 13-9 overall and 7-1 in the United East while the Griffins move to 5-12 overall and 0-2 in the Atlantic East.

How it Happened:
The teams traded points back and forth to begin set one, then the Chargers launched a six-point run to take the lead 9-5 behind three kills from junior
Jessica Fletcher. Sophomore
Madison Reap had a pair of service aces amidst another big Charger run of seven points, then Lancaster Bible won the final five points of the set with two more kills by Fletcher to help close out set one 25-10 for the Chargers.

Eden Belford had several kills early in set two as the teams stayed close, with the Griffins tying the score at 7-7. From there, the Chargers exploded for 10 of the next 12 points as Reap had three kills and junior
Madeline Reed landed a service ace. The Griffins battled back, but a block by Belford and freshman
Ashby Brummer set up set point where a Griffins error handed LBC the second set 25-17 for a 2-0 match lead.

The Griffins were looking good early as they took a 4-2 lead in set three, with LBC taking the lead 5-4 after kills by Brummer and Fletcher. The lead became three for the Chargers before Gwynedd Mercy surged with four points in a row to take the lead back. The teams then traded leads in a set that featured nine total ties and four lead changes, with the final lead change of the set coming off a kill by Reap at 19-18, then senior
Riley Dodrer knocked a kill for a two-point edge. The Chargers closed with five of the final six points as Brummer closed the door with a kill, securing Lancaster Bible's seventh straight victory and their sixth non-conference win of the season.
