Cox Named Player of the Year, Chargers Land Program-Record Seven All-Conference Players

The United East Conference announced their Men's Soccer All-Conference and Major Award winners for the 2025 season on Wednesday morning, with Lancaster Bible totaling seven players on the All-Conference release with one Major Award winner as senior Andrew Cox was named Player of the Year. In addition, Cox was named to the United East First Team, and joining him on the First Team is senior Lucas Durkin. As for the rest of the teams, sophomore Joel Walker and senior Ben Nolt both earned All-Conference Second Team honors, while the Third Team featured three Chargers including junior Dan Marcroft, junior Zach Coryell, and freshman keeper Micah Dressler. This is a program record for Men's Soccer with seven All-Conference selections.

Andrew Cox earns his fourth All-Conference honor and third First Team honor, being named an All-Conference player in every season with the Chargers. He is the first Charger to be named Player of the Year since Kedric Yoder in 2022 and earns his second career Major Award after being named United East Rookie of the Year in 2022. Cox led the United East Conference in scoring during the regular season with 13 goals, recording multiple goals in four games for the Chargers and netting three total hat-tricks this season, all against conference opponents in Valley Forge, Gallaudet, and Penn St. Berks. Andrew also tallied six assists on the year with two multi-assist games against both Centenary (N.J.) and Gallaudet, totaling 32 points this season to lead the United East even after the conference postseason ended. He ends his four-year tenure with the Chargers as the leading scorer in LBC's Division III history with 38 total goals, ranking in a tie for ninth all-time in goals for Lancaster Bible.

Lucas Durkin notched his first career All-Conference honor as a senior, earning an at-large selection to the First Team as a defender. He has been an anchor for the Chargers' defense for the past four seasons, starting 16 of the Chargers' 18 games this season. He finished fourth on the team in minutes with 1,182, helping LBC pitch six shutouts on the season. Lucas also got in on the offensive action for the first time in his career, scoring his first career goal on October 4 in a win at Valley Forge and connecting on a pivotal assist on October 7 at Penn St. Harrisburg en route to a 1-1 draw with the Lions.

Joel Walker has been a standout for the Chargers, earning a Second Team selection in his second season as an LBC defender. Walker led the team in minutes played for the second straight season, clocking 1,453 minutes on defense and starting all 18 games for Lancaster Bible in 2025. In addition to stellar defense, Joel notched two assists this season in conference play, on at Valley Forge on October 4 and another at home versus Gallaudet on October 11. Walker played all 90 minutes 12 times for the Chargers this season and added 12 total shots as he pushed the back line for Lancaster Bible.

Ben Nolt earned his second career All-Conference nod this season as an at-large selection, earning First Team honors back in 2023 for the Volt Division. He missed some time this season with injury, but still contributed on offense with four goals and four assists this season, tying for third on the team in total points. He scored a season-high two goals in a road win over Centenary (N.J.) on September 20 and notched his first multi-assist game in a Homecoming victory over Wilson on September 27. Nolt wraps his Chargers career tied for 20th in program history with 23 goals and tied for 21st all-time in total points with 56.

Dan Marcroft collected his second career All-Conference honor as he was named to the Third Team in 2024 as well. Dan tied for second on the Chargers with five goals this season, netting his first career hat-trick on October 11 in a win over Gallaudet. He also had two assists for 12 total points this year, tied for third on the team. Dan had a goal and an assist in an early season victory over Gwynedd Mercy on September 10 and had the assist on the Chargers' lone goal in a 1-0 road win over Regent on October 20. This was Marcroft's final season with the Chargers, ending his career with 13 goals and five assists for 31 total points in three seasons.

Zach Coryell earned his first career All-Conference selection in his final season with the Chargers, starting 17 of 18 games for the Chargers this year with the third-most minutes played on the team at 1,184. Zach had four total goals this season, recording his first career multi-goal game on September 27 in a shutout win over Wilson. Coryell added an assist on October 18 at Penn St. Berks for nine total points this year, holding down the midfield for the Chargers across their eight-win season. Zach ends his time with the Chargers with five goals and three assists in three seasons.

Micah Dressler was a standout freshman for the Chargers in 2025, starting 14 games in goal for Lancaster Bible and recording six wins in his first year. Earning a Third Team All-Conference selection, Micah made 69 total saves in goal for sixth-best in the conference ranking second in the United East with a .767 save percentage. His 1.663 goals against average (GAA) ranked fourth in the conference and he had seven games with at least six saves, recording a season-high eight saves at Messiah on September 22. Dressler is the first freshman to earn All-Conference recognition for the Chargers since Cox did in in 2022, making him one of two freshman goalkeepers to earn recognition this year.

Across the United East, St. Mary's (Md.) senior Jack Nelson was named Defensive Player of the Year, Penn College freshman Justin Crismale earned Rookie of the Year honors, and St. Mary's (Md.) head coach Alun Oliver was recognized as Coach of the Year.
