With under five minutes left in the half, senior Reaves Hooks hit a three to make it a double-digit lead, then later senior Luke Rumbaugh had a fast-break layup for the largest lead of the half at 14 points. The Chargers took a 13-point advantage into halftime, leading 43-30.

Storr had four quick points to open the second half, then the Chargers broke the game open with a 14-point run including buckets from junior Camden Hurst, sophomore Doug Adiok, and senior Nile Austin, extending the advantage to 58-33 with about 12 minutes left. The Chargers maintained the big lead as Hooks drained another three and freshman Jacob Lewis had a pair of 3-pointers, with the Chargers leading by as many as 26 points as they went on to win by that margin for a 2-0 start to the season.
