The Lancaster Bible College Women's Basketball team is ready for their 2025-26 season under 2nd-year head coach
Kel Brown (10-15), seeing 25 games on their schedule with 13 United East conference games for the season before postseason play arrives. The Chargers are coming off a 10-15 season in 2024-25 with a 7-9 record in United East play, claiming the #11-seed in the postseason and falling to Penn St. Harrisburg on the road in the United East First Round. With the postseason narrowing from 12 teams to 10 teams this season, the Chargers will look to improve upon last season's success and stand out in the 14-team field this year. Lancaster Bible came in at eighth in the United East Preseason Poll, with St. Mary's (Md.) claiming the top spot heading into the season.
The Chargers have a smaller pool of returners coming into the 2025-26 season, losing their top two scorers from last year to graduation. However,
Rachel Nolt (Jr.) returns from last year's squad as an All-Conference Third Team selection last year and played the second-most minutes on the team last year at 34.9 minutes per game. Nolt was a force on the glass for the Chargers, grabbing a team-high 224 total rebounds for 9.0 rebounds per game, just the tenth player in program history to grab 220+ rebounds in a season. Also returning is
Isabella Eufemia (Jr.), finishing fifth on the team in scoring last year at 6.3 points per game while adding 49 assists and 41 steals to her season totals. The Chargers also have
Raven Hunter (Sr.) coming off an injury that kept her out all of last season, recording a Chargers single-season record 50 blocks during the 2023-24 season with 12.8 points per game and 7.3 rebounds per game as well. Finally, Lancaster Bible has a wide range of newcomers for this year with seven new players, so the Chargers will see a wealth of contributions from many new faces this year.
Lancaster Bible opens their season this Saturday, November 8 at 4:00 p.m. as they host Eastern for the first time since 2013, then they will compete in the Renie Amoss Tip-Off Tournament in Baltimore, Md. the following weekend as they face Goucher and Lehman. The Chargers have a three-game home stretch that carries into December as they host Goucher on November 25, Saint Elizabeth on December 1, and kick off United East play at home on December 3 against Cedar Crest. After a four-game road stretch to round out 2025, the Chargers kick off 2026 with a home conference matchup with Cairn on Saturday, January 3, then host Keystone the following weekend for conference action. The final home game of the regular season for the Chargers is Tuesday, February 10 against Notre Dame (Md.) at 7:00 p.m., then the season ends on the road at Penn St. Harrisburg on Saturday, February 14 at 3:00 p.m. before postseason play begins the following week.
Head Coach
Kel Brown had this to say about the upcoming 2025-26 season,
"I'm excited to watch our team grow this year. We're a young team with so much potential. We've hit some adversity so far in preparation for this season, yet we have responded positively every single time, so I'm expecting to see a lot of toughness and grit from our girls. Our three returners in Rachel, Bella, and Raven will be key for us this year with some younger upcoming freshmen that'll make an impact. We're ready to battle!"
