The United East Conference begins postseason play today with the Lancaster Bible College Women's Basketball team entering the tournament as the 11-seed. The Chargers travel to six-seed Penn St. Harrisburg on Wednesday, February 19 for a United East First Round face-off at 6:00 p.m.

The Chargers finished the regular season at 10-14 overall and racked up a 7-9 conference record, battling through injuries all season and finding production from a number of players. Fifth year
Jenna Dombach led the Chargers in scoring at 12.5 points per game, totaling 301 points in the regular season and three games of 20+ points, including a season-high 24 points on November 9 against Delaware Valley. Also leading the Chargers is senior
Serene Calderon, averaging 12.1 points per game and 7.6 rebounds per game and recording five double-doubles on the year. Calderon also leads the team with 103 assists and 4.3 assists per game.
Rachel Nolt chipped in to lead LBC as well, scoring 11.5 points per game in the regular season and grabbing 218 total rebounds, making her just the fourth player in program history with multiple 200-rebound seasons.

The Chargers and Lions met twice during the regular season, splitting the series 1-1 with the home team winning each contest. The first meeting on November 30 was won by Penn St. Harrisburg in Middletown, Pa. 66-60, with the Lions' Jordan Carpenter leading the way with a 24-point, 10-rebound performance. The second meeting on January 16 was won by the Chargers 48-46, with Nolt and Calderon each leading with 12 points in a low-scoring, wire-to-wire finish where the Chargers prevailed.

The winner of Wednesday's game will advance to the United East Quarterfinals on Saturday, February 22 and will play three-seed Gallaudet.
