The Lancaster Bible College Women's Basketball team made it four straight wins on Saturday afternoon as they took down Penn St. Berks on the road by a score of 69-53. The Chargers improve to 4-7 overall and 2-0 in the United East while the Lions fall to 2-9 overall and 1-1 in the United East.

How it Happened:
The Chargers began the game on a 7-0 run as junior
Rachel Nolt began the game with a 3-pointer, then sophomore
Shania Stoltzfus had a pair of baskets to make the lead 9-3 LBC. It was then freshman
Emma Christner for the Chargers as she got a jumper to go and then an and-one layup for the three-point play, scoring five quick points for the Chargers. Stoltzfus added another jumper as the Chargers wound down the first quarter up 18-12 over the Lions.

Emily Wilson opened the second quarter with a jump shot on the first possession, then Nolt and Wilson each knocked down 3-pointers to quickly boost the lead to 12 points. Christner had another pair of made shots in the quarter while senior
Raven Hunter had two blocks in the period as the Chargers carried a double-digit lead into halftime up 36-26 on the road.

Out of the break, Wilson scored the first four points for Lancaster Bible for a 14-point edge, then about halfway through the quarter freshman
Miriam Spender hit a pair of free throws for their largest lead thus far at 45-30. Nolt and Stoltzfus each had four more points in the quarter while junior
Isabella Eufemia added three points as well, with the Chargers carrying an 18-point advantage into the final quarter.

Eufemia opened the fourth quarter by completing an and-one layup on a fast-break to get the lead over 20, then the Lions fought back with six straight points. Nolt and Wilson continued to add on with scores of their own as Wilson knocked down a three for LBC's largest lead of the game at 22 points with just over two minutes to play. Penn St. Berks had the final six points of the game, but the Chargers held on for a United East road victory over the Lions to improve to 2-0 in conference play and capture their first road win of the season.

The Chargers are now 20-5 all-time against Penn St. Berks and have won eight straight matchups with the Lions dating back to 2020. The Chargers have their first four-game winning streak since the 2022-23 season and have their first road win since January 25 at Rosemont.
Rachel Nolt became Lancaster Bible's 10th leading rebounder in program history with 521 career rebounds, passing Sarah Heilenman (2011-14) on the all-time list.
