The Lancaster Bible College Men's and Women's Track & Field team wrapped up the final day of competition at the NCCAA Indoor Championship on Saturday. The Chargers had seven individuals with field events and five more in running events. The women's team finished 16
th out of 18 total teams tallying four team points while the men's team finished 12
th overall out of 18 teams with 10 team points finishing ahead of Colombia International and Concordia (Mich.).
In the field events on the men's side,
Luke Richardson placed 14
th overall with a distance of 5.71 meters while fellow freshman
Kyle Durkin did not finish. In the triple jump freshman
Aidan Miller finished in 10
th place with a distance of 12.15 meters and Richardson was close behind in 11
th at 12.02 meters. Freshman
Emery McCombs battled it out in the shot put placing 22
nd with a distance of 11.64 meters.
On the women's side,
Martha Weaver placed 13
th in the shot put with a distance of 10.87 meters and 13
th in the weight throw at 12.12 meters. Fellow sophomore
Abby Ames took home a 10
th place finish in the 3000 meter run with a time of 11:19.90 and the 4x400 meter relay team of
Faith Garber,
Kylee Antrim,
Seana Dougherty, and
Lizzie Dimov finished 11
th overall.
