The Lancaster Bible College Men's Volleyball team picked up their fourth straight sweep on Thursday night with a 3-0 win over Wilkes. The Chargers are now 15-0 in sets for the past four games. They improve to 15-6 overall and remain 3-0 in the United East. Wilkes drops to 8-18 overall.
How It Happened: The Chargers jumped out to an early 4-1 lead and kept pace for the night as they cruised to a 25-16 first set win. The Chargers got a little help from everyone as
Jaiden Flanagan,
Jordan Yoder,
Carson Hoover,
Kevin Bryant, and
Dawson Forney all registered kills.
Wilkes kept it close early in the second set but a 7-2 run for the Chargers pushed their lead to 13-8. The Chargers scored four straight points to finish set two with the same score of 25-16.
Stringing together several scoring runs in the third set led to the Chargers completing the 3-0 sweep with a 25-13 set three win.
By the Numbers
- The Chargers finished with 35 kills, six aces, eight blocks, and 31 assists.
- Wilkes had 15 kills, four blocks, and 13 assists.
- Dawson Forney had a game high eight kills and added six digs.
- Jordan Yoder had seven kills, two aces, and three blocks.
- Zeke Clark had a game high three aces and Tyler Martin had 29 assists and seven digs.
