The Lancaster Bible College Softball team hosted the Albright Lions on Thursday in a non-conference doubleheader winning game one in dramatic fashion before falling 4-3 in the second game. The Chargers are now 8-5 overall while the Lions move to 1-7 on the year.
Game One, 5-4 Win
Phoebe Clemens got things rolling for the Chargers hitting an inside the park homerun to bring in
Maggie Kwiatkowski with her giving the Chargers a 2-0 lead. The Lions scored three through five innings to take a 3-2 lead but the Chargers quickly reclaimed the lead 4-3 off a triple from KarriAnn Mecke. The Lions were able to tie the game 4-4 at the last minute but Clemens put the ball in play causing the defense to make a decision in which Kiera Price scored the winning run, 5-4.

- Price and Clemens went 2-3 with Clemens racking up three RBIs.
- Maddison Atkins earned her third winning giving up eight hits in seven innings and tallying seven strikeouts.

Game Two, 4-3 Loss
It was Clemens again who got the Chargers rolling hitting a sacrifice fly to centerfield to score Kwiatkowski. The Lions tied the game in the 4
th inning but a double from Carleigh Clelenad reclaimed the lead 2-1. Albright again tied the game but the Chargers again took the lead in the bottom of the inning as
Alyssa Taylor grounded out to score Kiera Price. It was in the 7
th inning though that the Lions managed to score two runs and take their first lead of the game. The Chargers were unable to answer in the bottom of the inning as the Lions earned their first victory, 4-3.
