The Lancaster Bible College Men's Volleyball team traveled to Aston, Pa. for a United East matchup with new conference member Neumann, earning a 3-0 victory and securing their spot in the United East Playoffs. The Chargers improve to 18-7 overall and a perfect 5-0 in the United East, while the Knights fall to 11-10 overall and 4-2 in conference play.
How it Happened:
The Chargers grabbed the early lead as back-to-back service aces from sophomore
Zeke Clark put LBC up 6-2. Neumann stayed within three points through the middle of the set, trailing 15-12 after a strong kill by the Knights. It was there that the Chargers exploded for ten straight points, ending the set on a tear with kills from four different players and a set-ending ace by sophomore
Carson Hoover to close out the set 25-12 in dominant fashion.
The second set was a battle as the teams saw nine ties, with the Knights holding a slight advantage early on. Freshman
Jacob Snyder landed his first career service ace to tie the set at 5-5, then sophomore
Jordan Yoder landed three kills and senior
Dawson Forney landed two, including a kill by Yoder to give the Chargers their first lead of the set at 13-12. Sophomore
Jaiden Flanagan capped a five-point run for the Chargers with a kill to put them up 16-12, following it later with four in a row to take a six-point lead. Two more kills by Flanagan helped Lancaster Bible close out set two 25-20 over the Knights.
Lancaster Bible began set three with the lead, using kills from Yoder, Forney and Clark to lead 7-4. Neumann launched a six-point run from there to take a 10-7 lead an force a LBC timeout, then the Chargers tied the set at 10-all on a block by Yoder and sophomore
Kevin Bryant. After three in a row from Neumann, the Chargers responded with four straight including a service ace from junior
Tyler Martin. The teams traded the next nine points before Flanagan landed a kill and an ace for a 20-18 LBC lead, then the Knights earned four of the next five points to take a 22-21 lead. The Chargers held strong, winning four of the final five points including back-to-back kills from Clark to close out the Knights 25-23 and snag the three-set road victory in conference play.

Information to Know:
This was the first-ever matchup between the Chargers and Knights and their first meeting as United East Conference foes. Lancaster Bible improves to 5-0 this season in conference play and extends their regular season win streak in conference games to 17 dating back to 2023, all 17 being three-set wins.
Dawson Forney ranks sixth in the conference at 2.96 kills per set and seventh in hitting percentage at .235.
