The Chargers traveled to Penn St. Brandywine on Friday afternoon for their second United East Conference double-header of the season winning both games 7-6 and 5-3. The Chargers improve to 12-11 overall and 3-1 in conference play while the Lions drop to 3-17 overall and 0-4 in conference.
Game One, 7-6 Win
The Lions were the first to find the scoreboard going up 1-0 in the first inning. It wasn't until the sixth inning that either team were able to cross home plate again as a groundout from
Evan Sareyka brought
Dylan Witkowski across home plate. The Lions reclaimed their lead in the bottom of the inning, 2-1. A homerun from
Nate Rosenzweig and a single from Sareyka gave the Chargers a 3-2 lead headed into the last inning of play. But it would take more as the Chargers rattled off four runs including a two run double from
Micah Sloane to push their lead to 7-3. The Lions weren't able to make the full comeback falling short 7-6.

Game Two, 5-3 Win
It didn't take long for the Chargers to score as
Shane Stephan singled up the middle to score Witkwoski taking an early 1-0 lead. Stephan scored in the third inning on a single from
Nick Colarossi bringing the Chargers lead to 2-0. Three more runs between the sixth and eighth inning helped the Chargers take a commanding 5-1 lead as they cruised to a 5-3 sweep of the day.

- The Lions had nine hits for three runs and three runs batted in.
- Witkowski went 2-5 with two doubles and two runs.
- Stephan finished the day with two hits and two RBIs.
