Men’s Volleyball Wins Third Straight

The Lancaster Bible College Men's Volleyball team earned another United East Conference win on Tuesday night in a 3-0 win over the visiting Valley Forge Patriots. The Chargers are now 20-7 overall and 7-0 in conference while the Patriots drop to 10-9 overall and 3-5 in conference.

How It Happened: The Chargers cruised to a 3-0 win beginning with a 25-13 first set win in front of a full gym. It was a 13-1 run to start the game that set the Chargers up for the rest of the night. Kevin Bryant tallied three kills in the run.

In the second set, back to back kills from Zeke Clark gave the Chargers a 7-2 lead but the Patriots clawed back to within four points, 10-6. The two teams continued to trade kills until a 6-2 run from the Chargers and final kill from Dawson Forney ended set two 25-17.

In the third and final set, the Chargers put together an impressive seven point run beginning with two kills from Jaiden Flanagan followed by three kills in a row from Jordan Yoder. Clark finished the run with three service aces to give the Chargers a 17-7 lead. They would go on to win the third set 25-11 on a kill from Clark and their seventh conference game in a row.

  • The Patriots had 12 kills, two aces, 11 assists, and 15 digs.
  • Dawson Forney led all scorers with 13 kills and three blocks.
