Men’s Volleyball Sweeps Gallaudet, Clinches Regular Season Title

Box Score The Lancaster Bible College Men's Volleyball team played their final regular season match on Wednesday night, traveling to face Gallaudet and winning in three sets. The win clinched the 2025 United East regular season title for the Chargers and the top seed in the conference playoffs starting on Saturday. The Chargers finish the regular season at 21-7 overall and a perfect 8-0 record in conference, while the Bison end 2025 at 5-17 overall and 2-6 in conference play.

How it Happened:
The first set began close as the teams traded points, then the Chargers went on a 6-0 run, bookended by a kill and a service ace by sophomore Jaiden Flanagan to put LBC up 12-5. The Chargers separated even more later with an 8-1 scoring spurt, including service aces by junior Tyler Martin and sophomore Jordan Yoder. The Chargers finished off set one 25-10

It was Lancaster Bible from the start in set two as they jumped to an 8-2 lead behind two kills and an ace by junior Jake Rotelle. The Chargers maintained the lead throughout the set as they saw kills from senior Dawson Forney and sophomore Jaiden Flanagan go down. Rotelle finished off the set with a kill as LBC rolled to a 25-14 set win.

Another quick start in set three saw the Chargers take a 4-0 lead with a block and a kill by junior Zach Herb powering the run. Rotelle landed back-to-back aces a few points later to make the lead 7-2, then another block by Herb put the lead at 16-9 later on. The Chargers closed with the last three points, using two kills by Rotelle to close out the set 25-16, the match 3-0, and lock up the regular season title at a perfect 8-0 United East record.

By the Numbers:
- The Chargers doubled up the Bison in kills 35-17 and held Gallaudet without a service ace while landing six
- Jake Rotelle led the Chargers with a team-high seven kills and three service aces
- Sophomore Kevin Bryant added five kills and two blocks, while Jaiden Flanagan and Dawson Forney both had five kills as well
- Tyler Martin dished 29 assists and Nicholas Marion had a team-high nine digs
- The Bison were led by Zachary Bippus with a team-high five kills and three blocks

Information to Know:
This was the sixth meeting all-time between the Chargers and Bison, with LBC sweeping all six matches. The Chargers extend their regular season conference win streak to 20 matches, finishing off their third straight undefeated conference season at 8-0 this year. The Chargers have finish the regular season with 21 wins, their second 20-win season in three years and their fifth 20-win season under head coach Jade Brubaker.

Up Next:
The Chargers have earned the #1-seed in the United East Conference Playoffs and a first-round bye to the Semifinals. They will host the winner of five-seed Saint Elizabeth and four-seed Neumann on Wednesday, April 9 in the Horst Athletic Center at a time to be determined.
