The Lancaster Bible College Track & Field program competed at the Blue Jay Tune Up event on April 26 at Elizabethtown College. The Chargers celebrated their two seniors
Dustin Frantz and
Daniel Lefko while competing in their final regular season event of the spring before heading to the United East Championships next Saturday.
The Chargers were able to see a lot of personal records across the board with several strong performances and highlights for the day. The Chargers saw nine total individuals finish in the top ten for their respective sport with two of those in the top two. The Women's 4x800m relay of
Cadee Cameron,
Emma Cassel,
Kylee Antrim, and
Seana Dougherty was also able to secure a school record and second place finish with a time of 11:21.78.
Freshman
Kyle Durkin picked up a first place finish in the javelin throw with his best throw of 55.40m to set a new school record and rank number 60 in NCAA Division III. Freshman
Aidan Miller saw another school record in the triple jump finishing in second with a mark of 12.74m which qualified him for the NCCAA Outdoor National Championships.
On the women's side,
Lizzie Dimov set a new school record in the 200m sprint at a time of 27.57 and
Seana Dougherty improved her 1500m run time at 5:09.90.
