The Lancaster Bible women's cross-country team took part in the Penn State Abington Invitational Saturday, September 20
th. There would be 13 teams that participated comprised of 78 runners. The Chargers would finish first with a score of 33, including five runners landing in the top 20.
Abby Ames would be the first Charger to cross the line coming in at 26:49.2 landing her in fifth place overall. The next two to cross would be
Seana Dougherty and
Cadee Cameron in seventh and eighth place with times of 26:52.4 and 27:29.3. In 14
th would be
Shawna Donough as she crossed at 29:59.8.
Rosa Johnson, 31:22.7, and Faith Garber, 42:05.4, would be the final two Chargers to cross landing them in 20
th and 59
th.
"Today was a great showing from both the men and women at Penn State Abington," said Coach
Silas Eckenroad.
"We had a harder session on Wednesday, so I'm hoping that the result from today help build confidence as we keep working our way through the season."
