Chargers Fall at Messiah

The Lancaster Bible College Men's Soccer team traveled to Grantham, Pa. on Monday night to take on Messiah, losing by a score of 5-0. The Chargers move to 3-3-1 overall while the Falcons improve to 2-5-1 overall.
 
How it Happened:
Messiah had the first few shots early on as freshman Micah Dressler made a save in goal, then senior Ben Nolt fired a shot for the Chargers that missed high. The Falcons struck in the 17th minute to score the opening goal of the game, then again in the 23rd minute to build a multi-goal lead halfway through the first half. Both teams had a few shots to end the half as senior Andrew Cox and junior Zach Coryell were both high and blocked, leading to a 2-0 halftime score.
 
Dressler made another save for the Chargers, but Messiah added another goal seven minutes into the second half for a 3-0 lead. Senior Matthew Eufemia had a shot on goal that forced a Falcons save, but that was it for the Chargers as Messiah added two more goals in the final six minutes of play to secure a 5-0 victory.
 
By the Numbers:
- The Falcons dominated in shots 27-5 and had four corner kicks to the Chargers' one
- Andrew Cox had a team-high two shots for the Chargers
- Matthew Eufemia had the lone shot on goal for Lancaster Bible
- Micah Dressler tied a season-high with eight saves in goal
- Davis Pagett had a team-high two goals for the Falcons
 
Information to Know:
The Chargers are now 0-3 all-time against Messiah and are scoreless in back-to-back games against the Falcons.
