The Lancaster Bible College Men's Soccer team hosted their Homecoming matchup on Saturday afternoon as they welcomed Wilson for their United East opening match, earning a 4-0 home victory. The Chargers improve to 4-3-2 overall and 1-0 in conference while the Phoenix fall to 2-6-2 and 0-1 in conference.
How it Happened:
The Chargers struck just four minutes into the game as senior
Ben Nolt got into the box and fired a shot that bounced off the crossbar, with sophomore
Silas Dellaperute tapping it in off the rebound into the goal, giving the Chargers their first United East goal of 2025 and an early lead at home. Nolt had two more shots soon after and the Phoenix put a shot on goal saved by freshman
Micah Dressler, then Nolt had a lead pass to senior
Andrew Cox who put a shot off the post before junior
Zach Coryellput it away off the rebound for another LBC score and a 2-0 Charger lead in the 14th minute. The onslaught continued early in the game as sophomore
Luke Richardson found Coryell inside the box once again, netting his second goal of the game and putting LBC up three scores in the first 20 minutes. With many of their bench players in the game, the Chargers found a way to score again as freshman
Emilio Mejia fired a shot from outside the box that slipped past the goalie for another LBC score, sending the game to halftime with a 4-0 Charger lead.
The Chargers switched goalies at halftime as juniors
Richie Lockard and
Chris Jackson got playing time in goal, with the Chargers earning seven total corner kicks in the second half. LBC's defense held Wilson to just one shot on goal in the second half, cruising to a dominant 4-0 win at home to open up conference play.
